I feel that middle schoolers should be allowed to have their phones in school.  Although phones can be used for texting and social media, they’re still important to have and could be used for educational purposes or emergencies. Although the majority of schools have banned phones in schools, most kids bring and use them anyways so why not be allowed to use them to our advantage. “The kids taught us a lesson: They're still going to bring their phones anyway, so let's allow them to use them in a constructive way," George Fornero, superintendent of Township High said. Also, phones aren’t only used for texting, we could use them for calculators, researching online, reading, or other educational activities. With this, I feel that we should be allowed the chance to show that we are responsible enough to have our phones.
