What We Can Do To Make The Snowball Stay?

School Dances!!!
What We Can Do To Make The Snowball Stay?
By: Paris B

People have fun with games and parties.  But you can also have fun with some of the school dances that the Glenburn NJHS holds.  There has already been 2 school dances at the Glenburn School.  The Neon Dance and The Winter Dance.  Some say that they might not be having any snowballs anymore.  Snowballs are when a boy and a girl dance with each other at slow dances.  Whenever there is a school dance and it’s time for a snowball no one dances with each other.  What’s the point of a snowball if no one is dancing?  People are always standing and not dancing with anyone if a boy/girl asks him/her.  If you do not want to dance with someone you should just sit down so then someone else will know that you don’t want to dance.  Even the people that hosted The Neon/Winter Dance asked everyone if they weren’t going to dance then to sit down or else they wouldn’t have a snowball anymore.  In theory, lets just dance and listen to whatever the people say so we don’t lose the best way to bond with a girl or a boy.

WILL IT HIT MAINE?

WILL IT HIT MAINE?

California was hit with the worst storm they have had in 5 years. Some say that the storm is heading for Maine. California is looking towards heavy rainfall. Some parts of California are supposed to get 9 inches of rain, and other spots are only getting 3-6 inches. Sierra Nevada could be getting 4 inches of snow during this storm. The storm is still happening and we are unsure if it will make it to Maine.

Pascal Dupuis - National Hockey Player

By: Connor R.

Pascal Dupuis is a National Hockey Player for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was doing very well until the middle of last month when he started having symptoms like coughing chest pain and splinting ribs while bleeding. This lead to a blood clot in lungs. He is out for at least six months which means that he will miss the rest of the season and maybe out for some of the next season. This stinks for him because he would have helped his team out a lot and would have been a potential pick for the all-star game. Wish him good luck.

Got Deer

By: Isaac V

In Eastport Maine, there is a problem with how many deer are in the area. They are trying to take precautions to limit the amount of deer. They are trying to make a route for them to be able to come in and out. They are also trying to extend the bow season in the area so more deer will be harvested. In Eastport they are not allowed to hunt with rifles because the houses are so close together so bowhunters only get a short amount of time to hunt. The deer have become invasive and they are making things dangerous for the people because there are more and more collisions with deer. I have cousins that live in Eastport and they see deer on a daily bases. My grandmother has even seen a momma deer and her baby walking across the bridge. So if you ever end up going to Eastport make sure you watch out for deer and make sure to check out the waterfront!

Are Expensive Headphones Good

Are Expensive Headphones Good

By: Alex C.

They say the the higher the price the better the sound quality, but that is not always the case most of the time they are just loud. If you get dollar headphones they might break the first time you use them but might have pretty good quality. If you get mega priced headphones you may find that other people might not want to be around you because you complain or are overprotective of your headphones, when they are not as good as a twenty dollar pair from Walmart. If you get really cheap ones, you may will be reckless and have to buy a lot of pairs and that adds up. From my experience if you get head priced in between 20-50 dollars you will get headphones that won't make you deaf and won't break easily. The sound quality will also be pretty good.

How To Keep Your Basketball Game Up

By. Andrew S.
How To Keep Your Basketball Game Up
Are you saying that your practice was canceled by bad weather?  The Glenburn School B-basketball was canceled for two days in a row because of the ice on the roads.  Ideas for kids on basketball teams if a practice is canceled is you can buy or borrow a mini hoop to keep yourself active.  Anyone can do this to stay on top of their game.  To stay in top fitness you can run up the stairs or shovel your driveway.  With these activities you can practice at your house.  If  you have a hard-wood floor you can dribble a little ball if you don’t have a basketball at your house.  At your house you can also think of plays for your team to run in games.  You can ask someone at your house if they want to play defense or offense and go against them keep your game up.  Also you can do many exercises to stretch and make you stronger.  This is for basketball players and anyone who is interested in basketball or anyone who wants to stay active to stay active.

3rd Quarter Hustle

by Malorie B.

Tuesday December 2, 2014 the Glenburn chargers had their first game of the season. They played at Hermon Middle school against Hermon. The game was very challenging and hard but in the end we pulled through and won 40-45. We had a great first quarter, we worked hard on defense and didn’t let them stop us. In the the fourth quarter we hustled and focused because we really wanted to win. It was a great first game!

The Next game for the Glenburn chargers boys & girls ‘A’ teams is Home vs. Center Drive school (Orrington)
